To ease the burden of navigating the complex system of senior services by offering trusted, compassionate, and informed guidance.
To be the leading trusted partner in senior services navigation, creating a community where seniors are empowered, heard, and supported with dignity and compassion every step of the way.
Nana’s Navigator was launched in the summer of 2024 by Ginger, driven by her passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and their families. After 25+ years in various roles across the senior care industry, Ginger encountered firsthand the challenges seniors, and their support systems faced when navigating the complex system of resources and support available to seniors.
Ginger’s journey began right out of college when she worked with a faith-based organization, serving seniors with developmental disabilities. For 15 years, she supported individuals with different abilities, which deepened her understanding of compassionate care. She later became a General Manager for a Continuing Care Home, opening a designated supportive living community in rural Alberta, and eventually moved into an executive role for a senior housing management company. There, she collaborated with industry experts and government officials to improve senior care services.
The greatest influence on Ginger’s mission came from her personal experience with her grandparents. A privilege she never took for granted. Ginger was able to apply her professional knowledge with her commitment to empowering her Nana to make her own decisions right up to her passing in the Spring of 2024. This deeply personal experience became the seed that grew into Nana’s Navigator.
